Using the archive
You can browse Glisserati without an account. We don’t ask for a name or email address to search the catalog. Cloudflare hosts the website and processes requests to deliver pages, protect the service, and diagnose errors. Request logs may contain technical information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time.
Profiles contain information gathered from publicly available sources. Historical product mentions and profile details link to the evidence we have retained. You can contact us to flag an error or raise a privacy concern.
Website analytics
We use Fathom Analytics and Google Analytics 4 on glisserati.com to understand which pages people visit and whether search, filters, source links, and shopping links are useful. Development and preview sites are excluded from these analytics.
Fathom is our primary analytics service. Google Analytics is a second measurement service and may use cookies and browser identifiers. Our GA4 event data retention setting is 14 months; this is not a promise that every type of report or technical log is deleted on that schedule.
Custom interaction events may include a catalog item’s slug, filter selection, sort order, page number, or the domain of a clicked link. We don’t include free-text searches, email addresses, or full outbound URLs in those custom events. Pageview URLs and Google’s enhanced site-search measurement may include search terms, so avoid entering personal or sensitive information in search.
See Fathom’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. You can manage cookies in your browser or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Sources and shopping links
Original sources, videos, and retailers are separate websites with their own privacy practices. Following one of those links sends your browser to that service.
Amazon links include our associate tag. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We measure shopping-link clicks, but we don’t process payments or receive your payment details through this website.
Contact and requests
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information in your message so we can review and respond. Send privacy questions, requests about information you provided, or concerns about a profile to hello@glisserati.com. Include the relevant page URL and avoid sending sensitive documents unless we have agreed on a suitable way to receive them.
